You can have one replication stream configured and active at any given time. When you create a replication stream, it is automatically activated. Deactivating it pauses the stream, which then resumes if you activate it again. Before a replication stream can be created, a replication target and a replication policy must be created.
In the VAST Web UI, click
in the top left of the page to open the menu, select Data Protection and then Replication Streams.

On the Replication Streams page, click + Create Stream.

In the Add Replication Stream dialog, complete the fields:

Stream Name
Enter a name for the stream.
Choose a policy
Select a replication policy from the dropdown. The policy specifies the desired target, start time and schedule for the stream.

Click Create.
The stream is created and listed in the Replication Streams tab.
To modify the configuration of a replication stream, click to open the Actions menu for the stream and select Edit. Make your changes and then click Update.
Under the Actions column for the stream you want to activate or deactivate, click () and select Activate or Deactivate as needed.
To remove a replication stream, click to open the Actions menu for the stream and select Remove. Click Yes to confirm the removal.
To view analytics a replication stream, click to open the Actions menu for the stream and select Analytics view.
The Analytics page is displayed, showing you a predefined report called Replication Stream info which gives you useful information about the active stream.
Note:
Backlog is the amount of data waiting to be replicated.
RPO (Restore Point Objective) is measured as the amount of time that passed since the last fully uploaded replication snapshot was taken.
To manage replication streams via the VAST CLI, use the following commands.
