This command creates a VIP pool.

Usage

vippool create --start-ip IP
               --end-ip IP
               --subnet-cidr CIDR
               [--gw-ip IP]
               [--vlan VLAN]
               [--cnode-ids CNODE_IDs]
               [--name NAME]

Required Parameters

--start-ip IP

Specifies the first IP in the range.

 --end-ip IP

Specifies the last IP in the range.

--subnet-cidr CIDR

Specifies the subnet in Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) notation.

In CIDR notation, the subnet is expressed as the number of bits of each IP address that represent the subnet address. For example, the subnet mask 255.255.255.0 is expressed as 24 in CIDR notation.

Specify CIDR as an integer.

For example: --subnet 24

Options

[--gw-ip IP]

Specifies a gateway IP. Use this option if your storage clients are on multiple subnets and you are routing your client storage traffic through a local gateway.

[--vlan VLAN]

Tags the VIP pool with a specific VLAN on the data network. See Tagging VIP Pools with VLANs.

Specify VLAN as a VLAN number (0-4096).

[--cnode-ids CNODE_IDs]

Dedicates a specific group of CNodes to the VIP pool. The VIPs in this pool will only be distributed among the specified CNodes.

Specify CNODE_IDs as a comma separated list of CNode IDs.

By default, VIP pools are distributed among all active CNodes.

[--name NAME]

Specifies a name for the VIP Pool.

Example

vcli: admin> vippool create --start-ip 203.0.113.2 --end-ip 203.0.113.5 --subnet-cidr 24 --gw-ip 203.0.113.1 --vlan 60 --cnode-ids 1,2,3 --name vippool1
