VAST Cluster supports NFSv4.1, the latest version of the Network File System (NFS) file sharing protocol for storage clients to access files and directories. NFSv4.1 can be enabled on a cluster concurrently with NFSv3.
NFSv4.1 access is enabled using views. Views expose directories to one or more client protocols. For information about enabling NFSv4.1 access through views, see Enabling NFSv4.1 Access (with or without NFSv3).
The following NFSv4.1 features are supported:
The VAST Cluster NFSv4.1 implementation does not support wire encryption or integrity checking.
Kerberos authentication with NFSv4.1 is not yet supported and will be introduced in VAST Cluster 4.1.
