The Analytics page lets you view predefined reports and custom reports, and to create custom reports.
Each report is defined according to which property (or properties) it displays, such as IOPS, bandwidth or latency, and whether the data is fetched for the entire cluster or specified CNodes.
Each report has a default time resolution and timeframe, although these can be changed while viewing.
From the left navigation menu, select Analytics.
-
Select a report from the Predefined Analytics list or the Customized Analytics list.
Use the search box to find a report by name.
Use the Cluster, CNode , NVRAM and SSD filters to filter the list of reports. Cluster reports show data from the whole cluster. CNode, NVRAM and SSD reports show data per CNode, NVRAM and SSD, with a separate graph for each object included in the report.
-
Once the report is displayed, you can:
-
Change the Time Resolution. Choose from:
Change the displayed time frame. Choose from one of the available time frames (10m, 2h, and so on). These vary depending on the time resolution, since data with lower granularity is stored for longer. (See How far back is data available?)
-
Zoom in, by clicking and dragging over part of the graph.
Change the period of time shown in the graph. Click
to change the specific period of time shown in the graph. By default, the graph shows the most recent data, with the time frame ending at the present time.
Select an Aggregation Type to change the aggregation function you are viewing. This is relevant and available if you are viewing aggregated data samples, since several aggregation functions are calculated and you can choose which one to display. (In case of time resolution = seconds, the data samples are raw and therefore aggregation type is not available.)
Click intersampling to display the deltas between each value and the previous one, instead of the values themselves.
-
If the report you want to see doesn't exist, it's easy to make a new one.
-
On the Analytics page, do one of the following:
-
Select a predefined report that is similar to the one you want to create and click
to copy it.
OR
Click
and to start from scratch.
-
-
Edit or enter the details:
Field
Description
Name
Enter a name for the report.
Object Type
The type of object to report metrics for. Choose:
Cluster. Your report will display metrics for the whole cluster.
CNode. You'll specify which CNodes to include in the Objects field. Each CNode's data will be displayed on a separate graph.
Time Resolution
The default time resolution to display for the report. This is the time resolution that will be selected whenever the report is opened by any manager. The viewing manager can always change the time resolution while viewing.
Timeframe
The default time frame to display for the report. This is the time frame that will be displayed whenever the report is opened by any manager. The viewing manager can always change the time frame while viewing the report.
Properties
The properties to include in the report. Select from the dropdown list. Each property will be shown in a different color on the graph (or graphs, if more than one CNode is included).
Objects
Specific objects to include in the report (CNodes, Clusters). Select from the objects available. See also Object Type. If no object is selected, all objects of the specified type will always be included in the report (including any future defined objects of the specified object type).
-
Click Create.
The report is created, and opened for you.
Open it by selecting it under the Customized Analytics heading, and then click
