You Will Need

Your Installation Plan (completed by your VAST Support Engineer)
Laptop.
VAST Cluster package file saved to the laptop. For example: release-3.6.0-123456.vast.tar.gz

Tip

Download a release package file from the release notes page on the Support Portal.
Bootstrap File (vast_bootstrap.sh) saved to the laptop. Obtain this file from VAST Support.
If you will be configuring the cluster switches via Easy Install*:
- One RJ-45 Cat5-e or Cat6 cable, long enough to run from one CNode to each of the switches in the cluster.
- Any adaptors required to connect such a cable to your laptop.
*Switches can be configured via Easy Install or otherwise. Check with your VAST Support Engineer which method they recommend for your installation.
