The CERES DBox is a single rack unit PCIe Gen.4 NVMeOF JBOF high availability enclosure. It is optimized for high density and ease of service, with hot swappable easy access components.
Unlike the Mavericks DBox which has two DNode controllers, the CERES DBox has two canisters called DTrays which each have two DNodes. Each DNode is connected to half of the SSDs and NVRAMs. The DTrays are hot-swappable Field Replacable Units (FRUs).
The CERES DBox has 22 slots for hot swappable NAND flash SSDs in the E1.L form factor. It also has eight slots for SSDs in the U.2 form factor used for non-volatile random-access memory (NVRAM). The eight U.2 NVRAMs are installed in 4 hot-swappable sleds.
The two redundant power supplies and the front fan unit are also hot swappable FRUs.

Caution
-
A shielded-type power cord is required in order to meet FCC emission limits and also to prevent interference to the nearby radio and television reception. It is essential that only the supplied power cord be used.
-
Use only shielded cables to connect I/O devices to this equipment.
-
You are cautioned that changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void your authority to operate the equipment.
CERES has 2 redundant, hot swappable 1600W PSUs, that are field replaceable units (FRU).
