Deleting View Policies

Up to VAST Cluster 4.5.0-SP15, only user-defined view policies can be deleted. Starting with 4.5.0-SP15, VAST Cluster allows deleting a default view policy if the policy does not have any views attached to it.

To delete a view policy using the VAST Web UI:

  1. From the left navigation menu, select Element Store and then View Policies.

  2. Click ActionsButtonGUI2.png to open the Actions menu for the policy you want to delete, and select Remove.

  3. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.

To delete a view policy via the VAST CLI, use the viewpolicy delete command.
