Create an S3 replication peer. See Managing S3 Replication Peers.
An S3 replication peer defines a remote AWS S3 bucket or custom S3 bucket to which data can be replicated.

Create a protection policy. See Managing Protection Policies.
In the protection policy, you must define the starting time, schedule and a local retention policy for the snapshots. You must also select the S3 replication peer that you created in the previous step.

Create a protected path. See Managing Protected Paths.
In the protected path, you must specify the data path to replicate and the protection policy you created in the previous step.
