Rename a Cluster

Rename a Cluster from the VAST Web UI

Connect to the VAST Web UI. From the menu, (click ), select Infrastructure > Clusters.
Select at the right side of the cluster to rename, and then select Rename.
Enter the new name for the cluster and select the Rename button.

Rename a Cluster from the VAST CLI

To rename a cluster from the VAST CLI run the cluster modify command with the --name option.

Rename a CNode

Rename a CNode from the VAST Web UI

Connect to the VAST Web UI. From the menu, (click ), select Infrastructure > CNodes.
Select at the right side of the CNode to rename, and then select Rename.
Enter the new name for the CNode and select the Rename button.

Rename a CNode from the VAST CLI

To rename a CNode from the VAST CLI, run the cnode rename command.

Rename a DNode

Rename a DNode from the VAST Web UI

Connect to the VAST Web UI. From the menu, (click ), select Infrastructure > DNodes.
Select at the right side of the DNode to rename, and then select Rename.
Enter the new name for the DNode and select the Rename button.

Rename a DNode from the VAST CLI

To rename a DNode from the VAST CLI, use the dtray rename command.

Rename a DTray

Rename a DTray from the VAST Web UI

Connect to the VAST Web UI. From the menu, (click ), select Infrastructure > DTrays.
Select at the right side of the DTray to deactivate, and then select Rename.
Enter the new name for the DTray and select the Rename button.

Rename a DTray from the VAST CLI

Rename the DTray via the VAST CLI by running the dtray rename command.

To obtain the names of the DTrays, run the dtray list command.
