The Top Actors page in the VAST Web UI shows you the highest performing CNodes, hosts, users, views, VIPs and VIP pools. The data shown is the same data shown in the Data Flow page and you can easily switch to view any actor that interests you on the data flow page.
The Top Actors page displays:
-
The 'actors' on a chart (1 in the figure below), on the left of the page, with two axes, each representing a performance metric. Below the chart is a time line (2). Each 'actor' (Cnode, user etc.) appears on the chart (3) according to its performance at the selected point in time (4) on the time line below the chart. Each type of actor has a color to distinguish it easily from the others (5).
-
The Top Actors pane on the right of the page (6) showing all the performance metrics for all of the results (expands to show all metrics).
You can do the following:
-
Toggle between displaying all actor types or displaying just one. For example, to display CNodes only and not hosts, users, views and VIPs.
To switch from displaying all to displaying one type of actor, click the checkbox next to the type you want to display.
To switch back to displaying all, click again on the same checkbox.

Choose which metrics to show on each axis.
To change the metric represented by each axis, click the dropdown for the axis and choose a different metric.
